Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Your responsibilities will include assisting the dentist during procedures, preparing treatment rooms, and ensuring the comfort of our patients. Responsibilities: - Assist the dentist during dental procedures - Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations and procedures - Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment - Take and develop dental x-rays - Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures - Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care - Maintain accurate patient records using electronic systems such as Dentrix or Epic - Schedule patient appointments and manage the dental office calendar - Perform dental receptionist duties as needed Skills: - Proficiency in using dental software systems such as Dentrix or Epic - Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality - Familiarity with medical coding and documentation practices - Strong organizational skills with attention to detail - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work well in a team environment - Knowledge of aseptic technique and infection control protocols Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a dental assisting program preferred - Dental Assistant certification or license required - Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not required We offer competitive pay based on experience and qualifications.
