The University of Wisconsin-Madison Department of Family Medicine and Community Health, UW Health Odana Road Clinic, located in Madison, Wisconsin , seeks a new faculty member to join their clinic. This physician faculty will provide the full spectrum of family medicine skills and patient care, with maternity care (OB) and newborn rounding preferred. This position will be involved in clinical teaching of medical students and other learners. This position may involve academic scholarly work.

Position Details:

• Provision of clinical care of patients (full-time 1.0 is 30 patient contact hours, 25-minute visits) with participation in clinical faculty call schedule (phone call only, large, shared call group).
• DFMCH physicians are faculty, with opportunity for clinical teaching of medical students and other learners.
• Position preferred to include participation in obstetrics/maternity care and/or newborn rounding. If practicing OB, would be part of shared OB call group.
• Faculty also may provide nursing home visits, will attend departmental meetings, and will perform administrative duties as necessary in the position.
• This position is posted as either CHS and CT Track, which allows flexibility for the finalist and for the clinic to determine if this position will include scholarly work, or if the role will be more clinically focused.

Faculty at UW-Madison have the opportunity for professional growth that will allow them to pursue additional clinical and academic interests. In addition to their clinic roles, faculty may have opportunities to practice OMT, Integrative Health, inpatient medicine, POCUS, and more. There are also opportunities in the medical school for formal teaching roles, may be opportunities within the organization for leadership roles, and may also be scholarly research focused projects and committees that a faculty member can participate. Clinical duties are defined with department leadership approval based on the finalists career interests and based on the clinical needs.

Requirements:

• MD/DO or equivalent
• Wisconsin medical licensure required prior to start date.
• Certification by or eligible for certification by American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) or American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians (AOBFP).
• Successful completion of a fully accredited Family Medicine Residency Program.
