Schedule (days/hours)

M-F and 1 Sat/month

Responsibilities

  • Educates patients on oral healthcare and the prevention of dental problems
  • Examines teeth and diagnoses patients’ dental conditions
  • Assesses treatment options and presents treatment plans to patients
  • Documents risk assessment and records findings for, but not limited to, oral cancer screening, periodontal screening/charting and caries risk
  • Considers appropriate interventions based on risk and reinforces recommendations made to support diagnoses
  • Provides clinical treatments
  • Maintains patient dental records
  • Keeps apprised of new developments through structured continuing professional development
  • Markets services to potential clients
  • Detects disease with appropriate screening and assessment tools
  • Refers patients to orthodontists or other dental specialists for more advanced procedures and care when appropriate
  • Selects appropriate materials and equipment for dental treatment
  • Protects patients and employees by adhering to OSHA infection-control policies
  • Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential and adhering to HIPAA privacy policies
  • Follows all Standard Operating Procedures and other guidelines in accordance with the employee handbook and state statutes/rules

Qualifications

Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) required.

The compensation range for this role is $200,000-$300,000 per year.
