SMC is Hiring an Event specialist Near Noblesville, IN

PURPOSE

The function of this role as an Event Specialist is to support, coordinate, and execute our company's participation in trade shows, exhibitions, conferences, and other industry events.

This role is responsible for supporting successful execution of events and maximizing ROI through impact of events by promoting our brand visibility and driving lead generation efforts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Collaborate with the marketing team and organizers to define strategy and event requirements.
  • Conduct research to identify relevant trade shows and events that align with our target market and business objectives.
  • Maintain an up-to-date calendar of upcoming trade shows and events, ensuring timely registration and submission of required materials.
  • Coordinate staffing needs, schedule booth personnel, and provide guidance to team members attending events.
  • Arrange travel and accommodation logistics, administration, and bookings.
  • Coordinate logistics for each event, including booth design, signage, promotional materials, and shipping of necessary equipment.
  • Maintain and build trade show assets (static, dynamic, and graphical displays that showcase automation).
  • Collaborate lead generation efforts by coordinating pre-show and post-show marketing campaigns, including email campaigns, social media promotions, sponsorship opportunities, advertisements, and targeted outreach.
  • Attend events to execute set-up, tear-down, and clean-up operations.
  • Support lead generation efforts within CRM platform.
  • Analyze findings and improvements related to the performance and effectiveness of events for management.
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned by management.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Fast-paced corporate culture.
  • Sustained posture in both standing and seated positions for prolonged periods of time.
  • Occasional physical demands to regularly stand, walk, and use hands; ability to move or lift >

25lbs and follow safety guidelines.

  • Occasional work environment exposure to the following elements : noise, heat, cold, dust.
  • Frequent travel for setup, show days, and teardown of trade shows and events.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, hospitality, engineering technology, related field or equivalent experience in exhibition industry.
  • Preferred 2-4 years of experience in event coordination, preferably in the trade show or exhibition industry.
  • Preferred experience of hands-on technical skills for maintaining and building displays.
  • Ability to travel and work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, as required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office required.
  • Skills : Well-developed organization, strong attention to detail, and high degree of accuracy required.Strong multitasking, time management, and organization skills.

Excellent communication skills : written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal.Demonstrate ability to work in cross-functional and team-oriented environment.

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines and budget constraints.Ability to work independently.
