smartdept is Hiring an UX Designer Near Lincolnshire, IL

smartdept. is searching for a UX/UI Designerfor a financial services client of ours located in Riverwoods, IL. The ideal candidate will come with 3-10 years of experience. This is a full-timehybrid6-month contract opportunity with the potential to extend or convert. Compensation for this position is expected to be $40-$60/hour depending on experience level and fit. 

What You’ll Do: 

  • Responsible for product design across websites and apps that deliver business strategies and delight customers
  • As a designer of a cross-functional product family, this person will design experiences that are easy to use, accessible, and exhibit strong visual design
  • Use qualitative and quantitative data to help understand problems and define solutions
  • Develop design concepts, wireframes, prototypes, and other UX/UI design deliverables in Figma and other tools based on the design brief and other experience requirements provided by the strategy team

What You’ll Need: 

  • 3-10 years of experience in UX design for both websites and mobile apps alongside strong visual design skills
  • A competitive portfolio website
  • Expertise using the full Adobe Creative Suite as well as MS Office products
  • Expert-level fluency in Figma
  • Local to the Chicagoland/Riverwoods area
Nice-to-Have Skills:
  • Experience using a design system
