smartdept is Hiring a Product Designer Near Denver, CO

smartdept. is searching for a Product Designerfor a software client based in the Denver, CO area. The ideal candidate will come with 3-5 years of experience. This is a full-timeremote, ongoing contract opportunity. Compensation for this position is expected to be $45/hr - $70/hr depending on experience level and fit. 

What You’ll Do: 

  • Own the complete end-to-end process of user-centered design from research, UX, through UI.
  • Own leadership-supported user research to understand customer’s needs, advocate for them, and ensure that the final product meets user and business goals.
  • Provide both highly analytical and creative ideas, and translate those ideas into concrete design and product deliverables.
  • Work directly with developers, product managers, and company stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions in an agile
    environment.

What You’ll Need: 

  • 3-5 years of relevant professional experience
  • A portfolio that shows work you were directly responsible for designing
  • Experience as a primary contributor to multiple high impact human-centered-design thinking projects
  • Experience, participation in, and passion for user research (including user interviews, usability testing, etc.)
  • Knowledge or ability to learn Figma as a design tool
  • An active willingness to own mistakes and learn from them
  • Experience working with developers from hand-off through production
  • Consistent dedication to lifelong learning in the UX space and beyond
