About the Team: 

The Performance Marketing team works on SmartAdvisor, a matching platform that connects individuals with vetted financial advisors. The team is agile, passionate, and collaborative, constantly coming up with new and innovative ways to meet business objectives. This role falls under the Search and Social portfolio and reports to the Senior Manager of Paid Search.

About the Job:

This role directly manages six to seven figure paid search lead generation initiatives (eg. Google and Microsoft (Bing) Ads) that drive tangible results for the business. With the Senior Manager of Paid Search and leadership, this person will participate in all aspects of search campaigns including research, planning, reporting, optimizing, and testing. The right candidate is a passionate, numbers-driven performance marketer who has an eye for detail, loves learning, and is always looking to test new ideas. 

Responsibilities:

  • Own day-to-day operations on Google and Bing, including: creating, implementing, tracking, and optimizing campaigns to achieve lead volume and ROI goals
  • Conduct external research and analyze internal data to inform new keyword, ad copy, bidding, testing, and landing page strategies to maximize relevancy and efficiency of campaigns
  • Collaborate with Senior Manager of Paid Search and leadership on strategy and planning of entire paid search portfolio
  • Work with other team members across marketing, data, tech, product, and sales to grow accounts and improve reporting/measurement
  • Assist in daily, weekly, and monthly reporting, including data reviews for accuracy
  • Proactively inform manager and leadership about performance and opportunities for tests
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices
  • Strategize with account reps around newest testing and platform offerings
  • Work remotely from anywhere in the continental US

Skills / Experience You Have: 

  • 1-2 years of hands-on experience with paid search campaigns, preferably on Google and/or Bing
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Aptitude for rigorous quantitative testing and analysis
  • Experience with analytics platforms (Google Analytics, Mixpanel, etc), and ability to report regularly and consistently on campaign metrics

Skills / Experience Preferred:

  • Experience with direct response campaigns with precise KPIs
  • Familiarity with A/B and multivariate experiments
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Basic understanding of tagging and tracking parameters for campaign measurement
  • Ability to stay organized and manage/prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
  • Be a results-oriented self-starter, and a clear and strategic thinker
