Small Miracle Child Care Center is Hiring an Early Childhood Educator Near Omaha, NE

Small Miracle is a childcare center built around curriculum based learning. Small Miracle has been providing care to families in the Omaha and Elkhorn area for over 13 years. Small Miracle prides themselves on employing individuals with strong early childhood backgrounds to ensure our children are receiving quality care and instruction. Small Miracle has children ages 6 weeks to 5 years of age. We have three facilities that are all a short distance from each other.

Job Duties

  • Setting schedules and routines, grooming, feeding, changing diapers, and cleaning rooms and toys.
  • Developing and encouraging age-appropriate learning and socialization to ensure children learn basic skills and concepts, such as communication, manners, sharing, etc.
  • Maintaining a safe workplace by monitoring children for health, behavioral, and emotional issues and reporting concerns to staff and parents.
  • Helping children discover new interests by introducing them to art, music, sports, and other potential hobbies.
  • Ensuring children are learning positive behaviors and providing guidance or approved discipline, as needed.
  • Preparing children to enter the next level of care or for entry into school.
  • Keeping daily records related to care of each child
  • Working with parents to help children progress towards educational and behavioral goals.

Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Education and/ or experience in early childhood required.
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Exceptional communication, teaching, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong understanding of stages of childhood development.
  • Attentiveness to the needs and safety of children.

Hours 9:00-6:00
Pay is negotiable- based off experience and education

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • No weekends

Ability to Relocate:

  • Omaha, NE: Relocate before starting work (Required)
