Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintains safe and organized work environment
• Document and maintain shipping procedures
• Responsible for improving and maintaining pick accuracy
• Supervises employees engaged in verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments and in preparing items for shipment
• Oversees incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments
• Inspects material handling equipment for defects and notifies maintenance personnel or contacts approved outside service facility for repair
• Directs movement of shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage areas or warehouse staging area
• Compiles records of unfilled orders for repair orders and exceptional sales orders
• Posts weight and shipping charges. Prepares bills of lading
• Provide guidance, training, and support to shipping staff to foster a high-performance team environment.
• Fosters positive working relationships. Responds proactively to performance concerns, discipline, employee complaints and other employee relations matters
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to encourage professional growth.
• Studies shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates
• Determine space requirements and position of shipment in freight containers and trucks and lays out position of shipment
• Inspects loading operations to ensure compliance with shipping specifications
• Initiates and processes claims for shipping damage with our shipping vendors
• Other duties assigned by supervisor

Education and Experience:

• Proven experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse management
• Strong knowledge of shipping regulations, customs procedures, and transportation modes
• Proficiency in using shipping software, inventory management systems, and MS Office applications
• Analytical mindset with the ability to identify inefficiencies and implement solutions
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
• Powered Industrial Truck (Forklift/Picker) experience preferred

Physical Factors: Ability to bend, twist, stoop, reach and lift 50 pounds consistently, up to 100 pounds.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour
