SUMMARY:
Under general supervision, the Patient Services Representative is responsible for providing a courteous check in and check out process for our patients at SLHV.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES):
- Greets patients and their caregivers and records pertinent information.
- Verify and update patient demographics.
- Ensure completion of insurance referrals and enters information into Centricity (EMR).
- Collect all co-payment/deductibles and calculate payment information.
- Schedule procedures, appointments, and testing.
- Relays information between patients and other staff members, and provide them with updates as needed.
- Answer phone calls and order supplies as needed.
