Our Interior Designer will be treated as a valued and key member of the team. You will actively contribute to the success and outcomes of our projects, fostering the development of your interior design skills, experience, and confidence within our firm. You will see your hard work complete and the client reveal at the end of the project. Our company has a unique design approach focusing on a holistic approach of the client’s wish list, this approach allows our team to be extremely creative and dream big.

The Associate Interior Designer will be trained firsthand by the owner of the company.

Job Title: Interior Designer
Job Type: Part-time 1099 contract employee, guaranteed 40 hours a week to start. 1099 employee must have general liability insurance
Estimated pay: $26 to $30 an hour based on experience and qualifications, with opportunity to earn commission
Position Overview: Flexible working arrangements and hours, mostly remote work, professional development, networking opportunities, and potential to attend trade shows and industry events
Schedule: No weekends or federal holidays
Location: Tampa, FL
Work Location: Remote except for visiting project sites, shopping, sourcing from local showrooms, and occasional in person meetings with Slate Studios Team
Primary Responsibilities:
Secondary Responsibilities
While most secondary responsibilities will be delegated as needed to assist the Senior Interior Designer, there may be occasions when the Interior Designer takes on a more substantial role in these secondary tasks. This flexibility is essential to ensure the seamless progress of our projects.
A 90-day trial period will be in place upon hiring, during which the Interior Designer will have the opportunity to demonstrate proficiency. Upon successful completion of the trial, they will be officially welcomed to the team.
