Intervention Specialist – In Person Learning
Skyward Academy New Hope is seeking a highly qualified Intervention Specialist dedicated to providing a superior education for all students in our upcoming school year! We are seeking a teacher who is excited to create a rigorous and nurturing classroom environment that prioritizes student learning and social-emotional development. Skyward Academy New Hope is a full-time customized school program for students with various learning challenges and gifts ages 5 through 14. This specific position will work with students ages 11-14 (grades 6-8), with cognitive challenges.
Who We Are
Skyward Academy New Hope was created to address the academic and independent living skills of students on the autism spectrum or with autism related challenges. Our goal is to help each student develop their academic, social, and life skills in preparation for teen life and beyond. Our main belief is in the unique abilities and differences of each student. At Skyward, we strive to create a learning environment that challenges each student to improve academic, social, communication, and life skills.
Program components include academic instruction, behavior management strategies, life skills instruction, speech, and occupational therapy services.
What You Will Do
The Intervention Specialist is a critical student leader at Skyward Academy New Hope. The Intervention Specialist supports the educational and behavioral goals of all students with a focus on students with an Individualized Education Plan. Our Intervention Specialists require the ability to connect quickly with students, families, and colleagues in a poised, convincing, and enthusiastic way.
