Job Summary: The Accounting Manager will plan and direct the department's accounting activities.

Duties/Responsibilities:

§ Provides financial analysis and oversees the production of periodic financial reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgets. Ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards.

§ Develops and maintains continuous department-by-department cost accounting.

§ Establishes internal controls and guidelines for all accounting department functions and participates in budget preparation.

§ Presents recommendations to management on short- and long-term financial objectives and policies.

§ Responsible for tax planning and preparation of final documents for quarterly and annual taxes.

§ Manages the 401K and HSA funding and auditing process.

§ Attends meetings, conferences, training, and participate in audits (ISO).

§ Audits accounts to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government regulations.

§ Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

· Proficient in accounting and tax preparation software.

· Ability to manage priorities efficiently.

· Ability to work independently and/or with specific direction.

Education and Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent in related experience.

· 8 years or more of related experience

· Certified Public Accountant designation a plus.

Physical Requirements:

· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
