SkyGrid is Hiring a Systems Validations and Verification Engineer Near Austin, TX

SkyGrid, a Boeing SparkCognition Company, exists to open the sky for autonomous flight. Based in Austin, Texas, SkyGrid builds high-assurance third-party services to enable the safe operations and airspace integration of autonomous aircraft. SkyGrid also acts as a key operational nexus for advanced air mobility, integrating and managing data, infrastructure, access, and traffic to support seamless and efficient air traffic services.

The SkyGrid team is looking for a Systems Validation and Verification Engineer to support the planning, designing, and execution of the system validation, integration, and verification activities. In this role, you will collaborate with functional teams to create test plans, design and execute both manual and automated test cases and documents, and maintain test results. When issues arise, you will manage problem reports by documenting, prioritizing, and tracking them through resolution. You will ensure that industry standards and regulations along with quality assurance practices are implemented. You will be responsible for supporting integration testing which involves validating interfaces, data flow, and communication protocols to identify and resolve integration issues. Performance Objectives:

  • Support the oversight of validation activities
  • Has identified the validation activities for system and subsystem requirements
  • Developed validation procedures and reports 
  • Maintain the validation matrix 
  • Supporting the oversight of verification planning 
Responsibilities:
  • Review system and subsystem requirements for accuracy, completeness, and testability. 
  • Plan and conduct validation, integration and verification activities for system and subsystem requirements. 
  • Work closely with functional teams to develop comprehensive test plans and procedures. 
  • Design and execute test cases (manual and automated testing approaches) 
  • Document and maintain test results and reports. 
  • Ensure that the testing process aligns with industry standards, regulations, and quality assurance practices
  • Support the development of hardware and software integration laboratory.
  • Collaborate with laboratory centers in support of system integration. 
  • Participate in technical reviews 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems, Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical Engineering or related STEM degree
  • 7 years of experience working in a highly technical, aerospace-related industry
  • Experience in validation and certification roles within aerospace-related industry 
  • Experience in planning and conducting integration testing to ensure seamless collaboration 
  • Experience with ARP 4754A 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced Engineering degree, (Masters), from an accredited institution 
  • Experience working on certified aircraft programs including DO-178C, DO-254, DO-160, and DO-380
