If so, keep reading…Some of the primary responsibilities of this role include:Ensure machinery is on and ready for shift operationUnderstand, maintain and troubleshoot automated packaging equipment, including PLC/PC controllers, industrial networks and electrical distribution systemsInstall, rebuild, service, troubleshoot and consult on all food processing equipment, such as kettles, pasteurizers, fillers, carton formers and closers, robotics, boilers, air compressorsComplete preventative maintenance schedules which include regular inspection of all electrical, mechanical and other equipment within the assigned area of responsibilityRepair or refurbish equipment when irregularities are foundWork with the Maintenance Coordinator to order spare and replacement partsLiaise with outside contractors as requiredCoordinate with production and quality feedback on the functionality of machinery and equipmentReport all defects and damages to the maintenance manager and others as necessaryComply with industry standards and champion quality/safety regulations of a food manufacturing operationMaintain all records of the repair and maintenance works conducted in a facilityEffectively manage time and meet all specified deadlinesBe accountable for personal toolsMaintain inkjet and laser printers Of course there are more responsibilities involved that are commonplace for any maintenance technician position, and a full, detailed job description will be provided should you be invited for an interview.To be really successful in this role we will require you to have the following:High School Diploma or GED requiredAssociate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline a plus5 years of experience as a maintenance worker, preferably in a food manufacturing environmentStrong mechanical skills in addition to welding, grinding, cuttingElectrical skills in calibrating PLCs, weighing systems, and wiring of circuitryExperience operating scissor liftsMust be fluent in reading, writing, speaking, and comprehending EnglishBasic proficiency in addition, subtraction and fractionsUnderstands temperature and weight measuresExperience with Vertical Form, Fill and Seal Machines.
