Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dermatology Assistant to join our team. The Dermatology Assistant will provide essential support to dermatologists in delivering high-quality patient care. This position requires a strong knowledge of medical terminology, patient service, and basic life support.

Duties:
- Assist dermatologists in performing various procedures and treatments
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies
- Take patient medical histories and record vital signs
- Provide patient education on skincare and treatment plans
- Administer medications as directed by dermatologists
- Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for analysis
- Assist with minor surgical procedures, including wound care and suture removal
- Schedule patient appointments and maintain accurate records
- Handle phone calls, inquiries, and correspondence related to patient care

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a medical assistant program preferred
- Previous experience in a dermatology or medical office setting is a plus
- Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and basic life support
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Skills:
- Patient care: Ability to provide compassionate care to patients while maintaining professionalism.
- Basic life support: Knowledge of CPR and ability to respond to emergency situations.
- Medication administration: Understanding of proper medication dosage, administration routes, and documentation.
- Medical terminology: Familiarity with common medical terms used in dermatology practice.
- Patient service: Ability to provide excellent customer service to patients, addressing their needs and concerns.
- Medical administrative support: Proficient in managing administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and maintaining records.
- Physiology knowledge: Understanding of human anatomy, physiology, and the effects of dermatological conditions on the body.
- X-Ray: Knowledge of X-ray procedures and safety protocols.
