Skin & Cancer Associates is a medium business in Hollywood, FL. We are creative, customer-centric and our goal is to Skin and Cancer Associates (SCA) and the Center for Cosmetic Enhancement® (CCE) is a private dermatology group comprised of over 80 Dermatologists, Nurse Practitioner’s and Physician’s Assistants at more than 30 locations in Florida. Our group has been providing comprehensive medical, cosmetic and surgical dermatology care for over 30 years.

We are seeking a Dermatology Assistant who can work with both patients and doctors to provide effective patient care. The Assistant will lead discussions about the patients' condition and present treatment options, and will also be responsible for preparing skin for examination, recording doctor's notes, cleaning equipment, sterilizing medical instruments and consistently completing daily tasks. This position is hands-on and requires an ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.

Responsibilities:

• Assist dermatologists with medical examinations and procedures on patients.
• Provide and collect physical and emotional support for patients.
• Gain knowledge of skin and its related diseases.
• Handle medical instruments, supplies, and equipment.
• Learn the medical terminology of skin diseases.
• Improve communication skills with patients, family, and staff.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 24 per week
