Senior Director of Planning

SKIMS is a solutions-oriented brand creating the future of underwear, shapewear and loungewear. 

We’re disrupting the industry with our game-changing product and culturally driven creative. We are looking for a Senior Director of Planning to join us in building the next generation of intimates.

As Senior Director of Planning, you will lead a team responsible for forecasting demand, managing inventory, and optimizing supply chain operations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and implement processes to ensure SKIMS meets its financial goals.

This role offers significant growth opportunities as you will work closely with the executive team to shape the direction of the business. You will also have the chance to mentor and develop your team members.

To succeed in this role, you must have experience in demand planning, supply chain management, and financial analysis. You must be able to communicate effectively and build strong relationships with internal stakeholders. Additionally, you should possess excellent leadership skills and the ability to motivate and inspire others.

The right person for this role will collaborate closely with the finance, operations, and merchandising teams to ensure SKIMS continues to deliver on its promise of inclusivity and body positivity. Responsibilities

·You will lead the development and execution of strategic planning initiatives for SKIMS, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.

·We expect you to conduct market research and analysis to identify industry trends, competitive activity, and customer insights that inform our strategic decisions.

·You shall collaborate cross-functionally with key stakeholders including product development, marketing, finance, and operations teams to develop comprehensive business plans.

·We expect you to oversee the completion of financial models, forecasts, and other quantitative analyses to support decision-making and measure performance against goals.

·You will provide leadership and guidance to a team of planners, setting clear expectations and creating an environment that fosters innovation and excellence.

·We expect you to stay up to date on emerging technologies and methodologies related to planning and incorporate them into our processes as appropriate.

·You shall communicate effectively with senior management and other stakeholders, presenting complex data and insights in a clear and concise manner.

·We expect you to drive continuous improvement in our planning processes and tools, leveraging technology and automation where possible.

Requirements

·Develop and implement strategic plans that align with business objectives and drive growth for the company.

·Lead a team of planning professionals, providing guidance and direction to ensure successful execution of initiatives.

·Analyze market trends and competitive landscape to identify potential opportunities or threats and adjust strategies accordingly.

·Collaborate with cross-functional departments including design, production, and marketing to ensure alignment and efficient communication throughout product lifecycle.

·Provide regular updates on project status to senior management, identifying risks and proposing solutions when necessary.

·Create financial models and forecasts to support decision-making and allocate resources effectively.

·Manage budgeting process and work closely with finance teams to optimize spending while achieving goals.

·Proactively seek out new technologies and tools to enhance planning efficiency and effectiveness.
