Training is Monday - Thursday, 8:00 am - 3:30 pm for 4 weeks --- June 3rd - 27th.

Classes are held at 1300 James I. Harrison, Jr. Parkway - Tuscaloosa, Al

Skilled Trades does not pay lodging.

Focused on Safety, Tools & Materials for Construction Trades

Part 1 - Basic - 2 weeks

• Introductions to Construction Trades......Electrical - Plumbing - HVAC - Build Construction
• Hand Tools, Power Tools, & Carpentry Tools
• Material Handling & Ladder Safety
• Construction Math & Taking Measurements
• Employability Skills
• 1st AID-CPR Certification
• Scissor Lift Operation

Part 2 - Advanced - 2 weeks -Trade specific - Hands-on Shop time

• Electrical
• Plumbing
• HVAC
• Building Construction/Carpentry
• OSHA 10 certification

Must complete parts 1 & 2 to referred for employment with West Alabama Contractors

Must be 18 by the end of training.

Eligible to work in the U.S.

Valid Driver's License & clean driving record

Ability to pass drug screen & background check.
