SCOPE
Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for development and execution of test plans to ensure the delivery of quality software applications. Defines and tracks quality assurance metrics such as defect details, defect counts, test results, and test status. Documents issues and assists in their resolution. Works with entire development team to ensure compliance with application development standards.
Quality Assurance Analyst also develops and controls a consistent workflow for loading quality data into the electronic document management system, including media conversion, retention schedules, validation of file naming convention, and overall image quality. Reviews metadata and recommends improvements to search capabilities.
EDUCATION
3 years working in systems development, testing, quality assurance, and/or document management
EXPERIENCE
The submitted candidate must be able to perform the following duties and/or tasks:
1. Executing an established test plans against each build going into production (either manually or with automation) as well as interpreting test results and communicating the results to management and the development team.
2. Assisting developers with triaging and troubleshooting bugs found in a release as well as validating that bug patches resolve the issue and that appropriate regression tests are in place.
3. Converting media from paper and disc to digital format, determining record retention based on the State of Florida GS1-SL Retention Schedule, and properly disposing of records based on Department policies and procedures.
4. Ensuring data is ready to be loaded into the electronic document management system by generating a file name for each digital record based on a standard file naming convention, verifying digital documents are clear, and attributing each record with complex metadata.

3. Knowledge of FDOT Project Delivery Methodology
4. Knowledge of State of Florida GS1-SL Retention Schedule
5. Skilled at prioritizing tasks, maximizing efficiency, and maintain structure throughout the workday
6. Skilled in verbal and written communication, conflict resolution, and customer service
7. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high volume, deadline-driven environment
8. Ability to balance multiple demands and work both independently and as part of a team
9. Ability to conduct complex systems analysis and translate issues into feedback
10. Ability to work scanning equipment and lift up to fifty pounds (with or without accommodations)
11. Ability to integrate research and best practices into problem avoidance and continuous improvement
12. Ability to display professionalism in dealing with all levels of management and staff
