HVAC Technician

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Join our dynamic team at Six Flags Fiesta Texas as an HVAC Technician! We are seeking a skilled individual to take on the crucial role of overseeing, maintaining, and repairing all HVAC equipment throughout the park. As an integral part of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including repairing, rebuilding, and replacing bearings, motors, heat exchangers, air conditioning compressors, heating boilers, ventilation systems, and air conditioning systems.

HOW YOU WILL DO IT:

• Install, maintain, and repair heating, air-conditioning, refrigeration, and ice house equipment
• Maintain and assist in the control energy management systems
• Respond to service calls and expedite repairs
• Maintain preventative maintenance schedules
• Maintain records of equipment installed and removed
• Maintain and repair make-up exhaust air handling units, including fans and motors
• Maintain and repair chiller units and associated equipment
• Work with various departments to ensure safe and timely repairs are completed

WHAT YOU NEED:

• Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• At least 3 years commercial, industrial HVAC experience preferred
• Current EPA license (or obtain within 6 months)
• Must be able to work varied shifts (days/nights/weekends/holidays) including ext’d hrs under all climate conditions
• Must be physically fit and able to climb stairs/ladders up to heights of 50 or more feet
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
• Must be able to stoop, bend, and lift regularly
• Must be self-motivated and able to perform tasks with without supervision
• Able to provide own basic hand tools
• Must possess a valid driver’s license with a good driving record
• Ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral format

OTHER NOTES:

• May perform other duties beyond scope of above as necessary to support the park as a whole.
• Reports to Maintenance Supervisor
