SIU Credit Union is a financial institution that is for people, not for profit. We are a strong and growing credit union doing business in 24 southern Illinois counties with offices in Carbondale, Marion, Energy, Harrisburg and Metropolis.

We are currently seeking a Human Resources Manager to deliver outstanding service to our employees, members, and service providers.

What you'll do:

• Responsible and accountable for conducting recruitment efforts for all exempt and non exempt employees.
• Conduct New Employee Orientations and monitor employee development, at designated intervals, to ensure they have everything needed to be successful in their job.
• Annually update compensation program, rewrite job descriptions as necessary, monitor evaluation process, and revise as necessary.
• Recommend changes and additions that would enhance our ability to serve our members.
• Provide on-going support for our employee's
• Serve as a backup for payroll/salary adjustments and benefits administration.
• Remain current on federal and state employment laws, credit union regulations, industry standards and trends associated with job and security procedures.
• On a regular and continuous basis, exercise administrative judgment and assume responsibility for decisions, consequences, and results having an impact on people, costs, and/or quality service within the functional area.

What we're looking for:

• Bachelor's degree or achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelors degree.
• Three to Five years of similar or related experience
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Must be bondable
