We are looking for a fun and creative part-time or full-time provider to aid with some easy academics, respite care, and behavior therapy for our 14-year-old son Max. He has autism and epilepsy. The position would include practicing maintenance skills, and teaching new easy level academics, along with functional living skills. He is currently around a first grade level. His name is Max and he is very high energy, funny, creative, and strong. Our goal is to have Max in part time public school and part time home school (WIT-Wellington Institute of Technology). The position would include a fun, highly structured environment of engagement activities, and behavior management. You and Max would follow a visual schedule which would include fun engagement activities (ex; social play, board games, video games) and maybe some academics. You will also be responsible for supplemental teaching of functional life skills such as; preparing food or learning to ride an exercise bike. Paid training is included. Training involves strategies to maintain good compliance and positive interactions, in addition to teaching strategies, behavior management, and follow through techniques.Please reach out if you are interested.
