Marketing and Business Development Coordinator
SITELAB urban studio is looking for a Marketing and Business Development Coordinator to join our talented team to build capacity and take our marketing and business development operations to the next level. Our nimble and thoughtful 22 person team is well organized and has grown quickly over the past year and we’re excited to introduce this new role to help scale our team.
About Us
SITELAB urban studio is an award-winning urban design and strategy firm. We are a woman-owned San Francisco-based practice with a team of landscape architects, architects, and urban planners focused on urban design and planning; community engagement; and placemaking. Clients range from cities and counties, to private developers, non-profits, and community groups.

About The Role:
This new role will coordinate and lead all our marketing activities and business development opportunities. Details below:
Business Development (50%)
New Business Proposals
Lead in the organization and preparation of capability pitches, as well as formal RFP/ RFQ submissions
Act as an ambassador for the studio as proposals and submissions are coordinated with other consultants
Conduct strategy research on clients/prospective clients, and gather market and competitive intelligence to develop knowledge about our clients, projects, industries, and needs
New Business Operations
Update and manage the studio’s profile and case studies to ensure clarity and consistency
Maintains the studio’s business development infrastructure (e.g., written collateral, contact lists, opportunity tracking, etc.), exercising an acute level of quality control to ensure that the studio profile, communications, and other materials are consistent, error-free, and up to date
Contact management
Marketing (50%)
Social Media/ Newsletter/ Website
Create and manage monthly content calendar with larger team
Create content posts utilizing design and writing skills.
Update our website with current news, job openings, employees, and new case studies
Be the central point for organizing the quarterly newsletter
Awards/ Speaking Engagements/ PR
Organize potential quarterly award submissions and speaking engagements then spearhead submissions
Assist with presentations for speaking engagements
Support/coordinate PR efforts in conjunction with our external PR team
Marketing Operations
Establish marketing procedures in an effort to continually improve organization
Identify opportunities to further consistency in brand application of standards
Content management of the studio’s collateral for firm profiles, including renderings, photography, project lists, resumes, references, and project data
Coordinate all efforts related to photography and managing the studio’s photo archive
About You:
Bachelor's Degree or higher, preference to those with degrees in marketing, graphic design, or architecture
Experience in the field of marketing or design
Experience with small creative and/or consulting business models
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign and Photoshop, Squarespace, Google Suite.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills
An eye for graphic design and visual presentation
Ability to work independently and work with a diverse group of creative professionals
Strong people skills good sense of humor
Base salary range $67k - $75k DOE full benefits as well as bonuses based on individual and studio performance. This is a hybrid position with minimum of two days/week (Monday/ Thursday) in office in downtown San Francisco. Come join our growing team!
