Sisters of St. Joseph Of Carondelet is a Catholic non-profit organization. The Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet's mission of unifying love is as relevant now, if not more so, than it was to the women who founded our congregation. As the world changes and the problems grow complex, the answer remains simple: live in profound love of God and service of the neighbor without distinction.

Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, St. Louis Province a congregation of vowed religious women is seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Family Advocate (Healthe and Wellness Team Member) for a congregation of Sisters living in a long-term care community. As a Family Advocate, you will play a crucial role in supporting and advocating for the needs of the Sisters.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a liaison between the Sisters and the long-term care community.
- Build strong relationships with the Sisters, providing emotional support and guidance.
- Coordinate and facilitate communication between the Sisters and their families, ensuring that their needs and concerns are addressed.
- Collaborate with the long-term care community staff to ensure the well-being and quality of life for the Sisters.
- Assist Sisters in navigating the healthcare system, providing resources and information as needed.
- Advocate for the rights and preferences of the Sisters, ensuring that their voices are heard and respected.
- Provide education and support to Sisters on topics related to aging, end-of-life care, and grief and loss.
- Attend meetings and conferences related to long-term care and elder advocacy.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working with older adults and/or in a long-term care setting.
- Knowledge of aging-related issues, end-of-life care, and grief and loss.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build rapport and establish trust with the Sisters.
- Strong advocacy and problem-solving skills.
- Compassionate and empathetic nature.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
