Prepress Manager

We are seeking a Prepress Manager. The right candidate for this role would be a self-disciplined, technical minded individual who is enthusiastic, able to work under pressure to make deadlines, and has prior experience in a commercial print facility. Must have a keen attention to detail and is able to follow oral and written instructions. Working knowledge of large format is a plus. This position is full-time Monday-Friday. Pay will commensurate with experience.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

· Identify and lead the development and implementation of Prepress workflow process improvements and automation

· Assist with troubleshooting equipment, technology, and print quality issues

· Develop specifications and process capability criteria when needed, working closely with Quality Control and Production

· Work as a liaison between different departments

· Creating and/or processing of supplied customer artwork through preflight, proofing, and imposition.

· Prep large format jobs for production

· Occasionally work with clients to help them understand proper artwork requirements.

Qualifications:

· Proficient Knowledge of printing, trapping, overprinting, resolution/DPI, dot gain, color spaces

· Proficient Knowledge of preflight and other prepress functions, calibration/curves, and 4 color printing

· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

· Excellent interpersonal skills; must be capable of communicating and working with people at all levels of the organization.

Other Software/Skills:

Performing this job successfully requires a proficient understanding of computers, email, data entry, and graphic arts software a familiarity with InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat/Pitstop, Publisher, Word, Excel, variable data, and bulk mailing.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $33.00 per hour
