YOU

As Software Architect, you will be a part of the architecture team and work closely with the development teams and business stakeholders. The software architect supports development teams by creating cloud enabled architecture designs and leading hands-on technical development spikes.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING(% of Time)

Software Design and Implementation

Create software architecture and solution designs for products in Component Manufacturer Software Solutions. Hands-on development to support architectural discovery. Create software implementation plan and drive execution by guiding teams during development, testing, and deployment. Revise and refactor to gain improvement. Participate in requirements analysis and gathering by establishing working relationships with product management, UI/UX, and business stakeholders (60%)

Define Design and Development Standards

Develop technical design standards and coding guidelines for team members to implement. Serve as subject matter expert on application architecture and code. Advocate for technology transformation by rethinking solutions in a more modern way and by integrating hands-on prototype experience into solution design. (20%)

Customer Focus

Serve as technical domain expert for critical customer escalations. Advise on solutions to customer's problems utilizing your technical knowledge and critical skills. Work with customer success and development teams in deriving credible solutions. (20%)

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

If you can do everything listed above, you've got what it takes. Perhaps some of the following would be helpful too:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or technology, information systems or software engineering course of study or relevant experience required
  • 8 years of experience in software architecture, design patterns, and modeling or a field related to cloud-based applications to cloud required
  • 10 years of experience as a .NET developer with strong skills on ASP.NET, C# and other .NET programming languages required
  • Experience with and understanding of multiple software design patterns
  • Proven experience with .NET framework, programming with SQL server
  • Experience with web servers and server-side APIs(REST/SOAP)
  • Ability and experience in creating applications from scratch, including decoupled, event-based, and API-enabled architecture required
  • Experience with Azure cloud technologies and Single Sign On
  • Working knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD principles and practices preferred
  • Excellent analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities, an ability to communicate at all levels of the entire organization
  • Experience with designing and optimizing web and microservices applications in Azure cloud environments
  • Experience with containerization
  • Experience with IaC
  • Sound research and decision quality when considering buy vs build
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to weigh the needs of business and technical stakeholders, and to build alignment around your vision
  • Thorough knowledge of construction and residential home building practices is a plus
  • Teamwork: Ability to build and sustain cooperative working relationships.
  • Organization: The ability to arrange resources to get things done; can orchestrate multiple activities at once to accomplish a goal; uses resources effectively and efficiently; arranges information and files in a useful manner.

This position requires domestic and international travel up to 20% of the time.

This full-time, exempt position is located in Lafayette, IN or open to fully remote.

Pay

$102300 - $165700 / year

* Posted pay range is based upon national average and may vary depending on geographical work location.
