Simplx Security is Hiring a New Project Specialist Near Fort Wayne, IN

We are a rapidly growing, locally owned company located in Fort Wayne, IN. We service residential and commercial customers with a variety of security products and services including:

  • Security Systems
  • Smart Home Technology
  • Camera Systems
  • Fire Alarm Systems
  • Access Control Systems
  • New Construction Pre-Wire: Theater Rooms, Networks, Whole Home Audio

This is a full-time position. We are looking for someone that enjoys working in a positive environment and can add value to our growing business. There will be a period of 6 months in the field training as part of this position.

Job Duties:

  • Walk job sites with experienced salesmen and prepare the technicians on the first day of the job.
  • Quality Control on all projects including items such as: clean and tidy workmanship on installation.
  • Communication at the end of each day with general contractors and/or main customer contact regarding the status of the install.
  • Customer education on all systems after install is complete (alarm, fire, access control, camera platforms, including putting app on phone)
  • Ensuring daily call offs to office staff from technicians, regarding each job that is in progress.
  • Daily check-ins on jobs to ensure that wire runs are clean; bridle rings used; conduit used etc.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager

Who we are looking for:

  • One or more of the following is required: 2-4 years of Low-voltage experience. Running wire, fishing cables,programming, networking, etc. , Secondary Trade School or Technical School Training or Certification, Completed College Associates or Bachelors Degree.
  • Knowledge of Alarm Systems (preferred)
  • Excellent customer-facing skills
  • Technologically skilled
  • Skilled at building and keeping relationships with new and existing customers
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, find resolutions and drive for the best results.
  • Effectively manage one’s time, multitask across multiple assignments and work in a fast paced environment.
  • Detailed orientated
  • Excellent communication skills- verbal, written and electronic.
  • Have the ability to adapt in a changing environment
  • Attentive learner and ability to quickly grasp new concepts
