Job Overview
This is a role within the distribution center of Simon & Schuster, a 100-year-old book publishing company with offices around the world. This position as a Transportation Coordinator.
What you will be doing on a daily basis

• Ensure Domestic and International Outbound orders are processed and paperwork is correct.
• Track and communicate Status of Outbound Orders and Rush Orders. Collaborate with Operations to execute daily plans /schedules.
• Coordinate timely and accurate Complete Closing of all Outbound Orders in WM.
• Track and track daily Open Suspensions Reports.
• Track and coordinate Action Resolution when needed.
• Support team using different customer websites, especially Amazon.
• Interact with Customer Service frequently about possible order exceptions and any related transportation inquiries.
• Support and perform all transportation office tasks as needed

Some requirements

• You must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
• You must have careful attention to detail and strong communication skills.
• Excellent math and analytical skills.
• You must have the ability to stand for up to 8 hours/day.

Shift and Schedule:

• Our distribution facility in located in Riverside, NJ and operates in 3 shifts. This particular role is part of the afternoon shift, working Monday- Friday (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM). There is an opportunity for overtime as well.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
