Job Description: SimIS seeks a Network Security Operations SME to support the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) Unified Platform program office (UP). AFLMC/UP is responsible for developing and sustaining a cloud-based platform that enables cyber operations across the Department of Defense (DoD). UP provides USCYBERCOM Operational Forces a Joint cyber operations infrastructure enabling full spectrum cyberspace operations at the operational through tactical levels of warfare as part of USCYBERCOM’s Joint Cyber Warfighting Architecture (JCWA). The Network Security Operations SME provides extensive experience/expertise supporting management of day to-day activities of Network Operations, including all Cyber Security activities. 

Duty Requirements: 

• Ensures effective and efficient operation of network systems, architecture, and topology, that all information systems are functioning properly and conform to operation security policies and procedures.

• Develops and implements standards, procedures, and processes for the NetOps Center. Participates in strategic network and operations planning. 

• Requires experience installing, maintaining and configuring Windows servers/workstations to include Domain Controllers, Microsoft Exchange, BlackBerry Unified Endpoint Manager (UEM), SharePoint 2013, and SQL2008.

• Provides technical expertise for maintaining end user desktop environment to include hardware, software, and applications related to technical issues.

Experience Required: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field. 

• 10 years’ experience leading Network & Security Operations for large-scale IT implementations. 

• 5 years’ experience supporting/executing Network & Security Operations for cloud- native implementations. 

• 5 years of experience with DevOps / DevSecOps implementations.

Special Skills/Knowledge/Training Required/Desired: 

• Requires Security CompTIA Computing Environment (CE). 

• Requires Microsoft Windows Server Administration Certificate. 

• Experience with Public Key Infrastructure (DOD PKI), Internet Information Services (IIS) 7.5/8 Web Server, and Secure Socket Tunneling Protocol. 

• Requires a thorough understanding of Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Secure Technology Implementation Guides (STIG) implementations and guidelines.

• Prior experience working USCYBERCOM and or USAF Cyber is desired but not required.

Contract Specific Requirements: 

Upon award, the contract will have a period of performance of a 12 month base year with 2 twelve month options for a total of 36 months.
