SERVER - GENERAL SUMMARY

Server is friendly, outgoing, and possesses good communication skills. The server will have an expert knowledge on Silverspot’s menus to sell food and beverage and answer guest questions. They will provide superior guest service to each guest and will ensure the delivery of each order is carried out successfully and accurately.

 SERVER - ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

1. Provide friendly, hospitable service to Silverspot guests.
   1. Welcome each guest personally after they are settled in their seats for 30 seconds. 
   2. Communicate with guests using clear and enthusiastic words, tone, and body language. Offer your assistance before the guest has to ask for it.
   3. Be alert of guest signals and acknowledge the guest so they know you will be right with them. 

1. Sell food and beverage.
   1. Provide menu to guests and answer any questions, make suggestions.
      1. Inquire if they are enrolled in Spot Rewards, or if they would like to join the program.
      2. Respond to all guest’s questions regarding any menu items.
      3. Communicate with guests what is offered, how the menu items are cooked, presented, and at what price.
   2. Be prepared to describe menu items, wines, and cocktails.
   3. Make recommendations and suggestions.
      1. Offer specials, suggest pairings to complement the guest’s order.

1. Take guest orders and assist in running items to guests. 
   1. Ring in orders through the POS/tablet. Be able to accept different types of payment and make changes. 
   2. Check identification of guests to verify age requirements to purchase alcohol. 
   3. Provide responsible service of alcohol. Observe guest behavior and count number of drinks served. Ask management for intervention if necessary.
   4. Run food, food bags (legacy theaters), concession items and trays, and drinks from the bar, if needed.
   5. Check back in on guests to ensure that they are satisfied with their order and to offer second service , if time permits 

1. Ensure cleanliness of the area.
   1. Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
   2. Clean and organize each Theater podium stand, restock stemware glassware and refill salt and pepper grinders. Closing duties for Dine In , may polish and roll silverware, refill sauces, 
   3. Assist with cleaning in between movie show times to clear trays and areas and may also assist with cleaning lounge areas.

SERVER - EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE 

• High School diploma or GED required 
• 6 months of Server/Bartender experience in a high volume setting required.
• Attention to detail
• Strong sales or suggestive selling ability
• Friendly and warm demeanor
• Smiles and makes eye contact
• Adequate self awareness 
• Strong communications skills
• Strong knowledge of food and drink menu items

SERVER - CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

• Walks and stands up to 8 hours during shift. 
• Be able to lift up to 35 lbs. 
• Manual dexterity 
• Wears slip resistant shoes to avoid hazards of slips and falls
