SilverEdge is Hiring a Contracts Administrator Near Herndon, VA

  • HYBRID*
Supporting the VP, Contracts the Contracts Administrator will work closely on a day-to-day basis with the business unit presidents, program managers, capture managers, program finance and proposal teams on assigned programs. Regular interface is required with technical and operations organizations in order to provide guidance and direction to staff, project management, and peers.
  • Administers contracts and modifications ensuring compliance with company policy, contract law and applicable regulations for assigned programs.
  • Assisting with proposal preparations, negotiations, and contract administration in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Reviews and issues Non-disclosure Agreements and Teaming Agreements.
  • Assists VP, Contracts with the preparation of requests for proposal for potential subcontractors, providing summaries of subcontract terms and conditions, and reviewing flow-downs to ensure compliance with subcontract requirements, as needed.
  • Providing internal customer support on behalf of the Contracts department to other departments, i.e. business development and accounting.
  • Maintaining and updating the financial management system with contract information
  • Monitor performance, funding and payments on assigned contracts.
  • Prepares correspondence to customers, maintains contracts, subcontracts and proposal files, analyzes Request for Proposal (RFP’s), participates in proposal efforts.
  • Communicates directly with Program Managers in the development and administration of contracts. Prepares and submits recurring contract reports.
  • Applies company policies to contract performance.
  • Assists with reporting and compiling information related to the company’s contracts.
  • Prepare docuamentation for contract closeout.
  • May act as task lead for lower level contracts administrators and assistants.
  • Provide subcontract administration support as needed. These responsibilities would include conducting basic procurement procedures, issuing subcontracts, task orders and modifications and maintaining subcontract files.
  • Bachelor’s degree(preferred) or equivalent related experience
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant professional experience in contract administration or procurement roles, including experience with FFP, T&M and Cost Plus contracts
  • Knowledge of proposal preparation, contract or pricing functions, contract administration principles, industry practices, regulations and policies.
  • Knowledge of the FAR, DFARS, and other related Government Procurement Regulations –
  • Familiarity with Costpoint and Sharepoint preferred.
  • Possess excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with all internal and external customers
  • Analytical mind with ability to complete complex assignments.
  • Highly organized self- starter with stellar customer service skills.
  • Able to operate independently.
