World Class Assisted Living Memory Care Community is presently seeking a Cook to join our Culinary / Dietary team in Redondo Beach, CA!

Shift Details : This is a Part Time / Per Diem position. Must be willing to work both AM or PM shift.

Summary of Major Functions :

Prepares and cooks meals for the Community served.

Education :

High school diploma, GED or educational equivalent required.

Qualifications :

• Good verbal communication skills in order to facilitate conversations with staff, residents and family members.
• Ability to read and understand menus and recipes, substituting equivalents of equal nutritional value when appropriate.

Experience :

One year food preparation and cooking experience including, but not limited to : grilling, sauting, broiling, frying, and baking is required.

Other :

• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Must be comfortable working in an environment with pets and assisting in the care of community pets, including, but not limited to, dogs, cats, and birds.
• Willing to demonstrate passion and ability to work with people with Alzheimers disease and other dementia-related disease.
