Registered Nurse Relief Supervisor position

Full Time Evening Position Available – 32-40 hours per week

Enjoy working in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team structure. Psychiatric nursing experience with acute care or dual disorder patient populations required. The ability to flourish in a fast-paced environment where the total emphasis is on delivering optimum patient care is vital.

A qualified candidate will provide oversight of and leadership to the care/services provided by employees of a free-standing psychiatric hospital. Collaborates with the Director of Nursing to develop and implement processes to ensure the efficient and effective achievement of patient/client outcomes in accordance with physician orders.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science Degree minimum, Masters Degree Preferred.
• Licensed and currently registered to practice as a professional Registered Nurse in the State of Connecticut.
• Psychiatric nursing experience with acute care, dual disorder and eating disorder population, preferred.
• Scheduled Hours: 4 pm to 12 am.

The potential candidate would be responsible for the following tasks and duties:

• Responsible for safety and efficiency of the patient-care staff throughout the facility.
• Communicates and trouble-shoots ongoing patient care issues.
• Mentors patient-care staff.
• Assures that the facility is properly staffed.
• Provides and maintains a safe and therapeutic milieu.
