Description
SilverEdge is seeking a Billing Specialist in Herndon, Virginia or Columbia, MD to support invoicing and cash receipts for various government customers and contract types. This position will be a part of the centralized accounting team, partnering with program finance and program management for assigned contracts.
Job Duties:
Prepare monthly invoices and ensure compliance for federal government contract types (T&M, CPFF, FFP, FPLOE, etc.)
Analyze and reconcile unbilled receivable balances for assigned contracts.
Apply and reconcile cash receipts.
Maintain AR aging and ensure timely collection.
Resolve invoicing issues as they arise and communicate impact.
Submit invoices through government invoicing or prime contractor platform.
Support the reconciliation of timesheets between SilverEdge’s and primes timekeeping system.
Build and maintain cross functional relationships with the program management, contracts, accounting, and finance teams.
Support month-end close.
Support ad hoc requests. Required Skills
Associate degree - Preferred in accounting, finance, or business.
3-5 years of experience with increasing responsibility in accounting or finance.
Deltek Costpoint experience
Government contracting experience.
Desired Skills
Prior experience in other accounting functions such as accounts payable or general ledger. About Silver Edge
