Position Summary:

Oversees the daily assignments of Space Management Department. Develops and maintains the most shelf space and best shelf positioning for our products within all off-premise accounts based on the retailer needs, sales, and company goals and objectives using the most current marketing technology and data.

Job Duties:

• Responsible for the entire life cycle of the employees in the Space Management Department to include on-boarding and performance management.
• Coordinates and communicates shelf space opportunities to appropriate Sales Department employees.
• Oversees the Space Management Department’s daily assignments and assists the Director of National Accounts with the delegation and the execution of all Space Management responsibilities and assigned duties.
• Interfaces with and services designated retail accounts and sells in all new packages and brand introductions.
• Informs accounts of local and national market and industry trends.
• Secures the best location within chain/account constraints in shelf space (warm shelf and cold box) for our products in each account.
• Coordinates and communicates with the sales organization information on shelf space opportunities by generating reports from IRI data and/or utilizing Margin Minder to support all shelf set increases, decreases, new packages, and brands sold to determine opportunities.
• Establishes and maintain excellent working relationships with decision makers in key account space management, buying office and operations of designated accounts.
• Interfaces with key suppliers to discuss space opportunities.
• Assists management in developing plans and incentives for employees to increase shelf space in targeted off premise accounts.
• Follows and strictly enforces Anheuser-Busch and Silver Eagle Beverages. standards.
• Adheres to all state and federal anti-trust legislation.
• Keeps management informed of new competitive products and packages, strategy and technology.
• Coordinates an ongoing schedule for resets that need to be completed.
• Assists in executing resets on-site at retail locations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor Degree in like field of study
• 2 years previous sales experience in food/beverage industry preferred
• 5 years Space Management experience strongly preferred.
• Intermediate skills in MS Word, Power Point and Outlook and proficient on Excel
• Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills
• Excellent planning and organization skills
• Must have a cell phone with data capabilities.

Physical Requirements:

• Talk, hear, and see (including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus)
• Continuous standing and walking
• Must be able to lift, push, pull, and/or carry an average of 40 lbs
• Frequent driving distances between 0-75 miles in one sitting

Working Conditions:

• All weather conditions (indoor & outdoor) including high temperatures, cool/cold temperatures, wind, ice, humidity, rain, fog, hail, sleet and snow

• Work hours will vary daily due to business needs
