Silgan Dispensing systems is Hiring a Quality Technician Near Macedonia, OH

Silgan Dispensing is looking to add an experienced Quality Assurance Technician to our plastic injection molding team. The shift hours are 7:30 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., 3 days one week and 4 days the next week, (84 hours in a two-week period, with 4 hours of overtime per pay) in Macedonia, OH.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform inspection activities including:

Receiving Inspection

1st article inspection

In-process Inspections

  • Document inspection results into ERP system
  • Perform measurements through use of various measurement devices
  • Perform internal audits and/or 6S audits
  • Control & isolate nonconforming product
  • Participate in Material Review Board (MRB)
  • Create Quality Alerts as needed
  • Participate in Supplier and Internal Corrective Actions
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Ability to work 3rd shift; and other shifts if needed
  • High School Diploma or GED; Associate’s degree not required but a plus
  • 1 to 3 years of injection molding experience
  • Ability to evaluate color visually and with measurement devices
  • Ability to read basic blue prints
  • Ability to use basic measurement equipment, including calipers, micrometers, etc.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment
  • CMM/VMM Experience a plus but not required
  • ERP system experience a plus but not required
  • Experience with Lean a plus but not required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $21.75 per hour

Schedule:

  • 12 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Night shift

  • Manufacturing facility
