SUMMARY :
The Molding Process Technician tends to several injection molding machines and industrial robots to mold plastic components to specifications.
This position requires the ability to plan and perform a sequence of operations while making major decisions involving the running or stopping of molds and machines.
This position also supports the training of new Molding Process Technician Trainees in injection molding processing as well as assisting in the development of the trainees understanding of internal processes and procedures.

EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE
One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months’ related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have a high degree of knowledge about molding machines, their operation, set up, care and maintenance, to be able to set molds, start up and make adjustments to machines and molds in order to product quality parts at production standards.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio and percentage.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to handle problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
