Job Summary:

Signature Pool Management is seeking responsible and vigilant lifeguards to ensure the safety and well-being of swimmers at our facility. Lifeguards are responsible for enforcing pool rules, responding to emergencies, and maintaining a safe and enjoyable aquatic environment for all patrons.

Qualifications:

1. Must be 16 years or older.

  • Current Lifeguard, First- aid and CPR certification from the American Red Cross. Don’t, have it? No problem. We train!
  • Strong swimming and water rescue skills.
  • Excellent observational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and with a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and quick decision-making ability in high-stress situations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Surveillance: Constantly monitor swimmers and the pool area to prevent accidents and respond to emergencies promptly.
  • Monitor Guests: Check in/out pool guests according to facility standards.
  • Enforce Rules: Enforce pool rules and regulations to maintain a safe and orderly swimming environment.
  • Rescue Operations: Be prepared to perform water rescues and administer first aid and CPR in the event of an emergency.
  • Emergency Response: Initiate and coordinate emergency procedures when necessary, including notifying the appropriate personnel and agencies.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by assisting patrons, answering questions, and addressing concerns.
  • Pool Maintenance: Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the pool area, including cleaning, and maintaining equipment and ensuring proper chemical balance in the water.
  • Training: Attend regular in-service training sessions to stay current with lifeguard and first aid/CPR techniques.
  • Documentation: Complete incident reports, maintain accurate records, and ensure proper documentation of all incidents and accidents is reported and submitted.
  • Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with other lifeguards, pool staff, and supervisors.
  • Professionalism: Maintain a professional appearance and always conduct oneself in a courteous and respectful manner.
  • Have Fun: Lifeguarding is a fun and rewarding job and we want you to make the best of it!

Working Conditions:

  • Lifeguards typically work in an outdoor pool environment.
  • They are exposed to sunlight, heat, chlorine, and various weather conditions.
  • Work shifts may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • All SPM lifeguards must work 2/3 of the major holidays (Memorial Day, Fourth of July and Labor Day)

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to swim with speed and endurance.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Good physical condition to perform rescues and respond to emergencies.
  • Ability to be outdoors for an extended period.

Schedule and Compensation:

Salary: $14.75 - $17.00 per hour
