Signal Security is Hiring an Insurance Specialist Near Omaha, NE

Title: Insurance Specialist

Department: Risk and Compliance

Reports to: Insurance Manager

Location: Omaha, NE

Travel Required: Occasional as to attend annual convention and seminars, less than 25%

Compensation: $45,000 - $70,000, Salary exempt; based on experience

Office Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm

Your Role.

As the Insurance Specialist, you will be assisting the Insurance Manager with all aspects of claims handling and resolution, purchasing of insurance coverages, bonding, billing and premium allocation. You will oversee insurance renewals and insurance program management. You will offer overall Administrative Support to the Insurance Manager as well as the Director of Risk & Compliance.

What You’ll Do in This Role.

Administrative 15%

  • Assist Insurance Manager with purchasing of insurance coverages, bonding, billing and premium allocation
  • Tracking deductible and insurance billing payments by franchise owners
  • Assist Compliance Coordinator with certificates of insurance renewal
  • Evaluate and process certificates of insurance requests from franchise owners

Claims Filing and Investigation 50%

  • Oversee the filing claims and the investigation follow-ups
  • Responsible for compliance on subpoena request
  • Obtain information from customers regarding incidents and file claims
  • Create reports and analyze data for trends and risks using various RMIS systems.
  • Help develop and implement safety and loss control programs/resources
  • Identify loss control needs and make recommendations to franchisees
  • Make suggestions to improve customer satisfaction and operation workflow
  • Collect, compile and maintain the integrity of exposure data and underwriting information

Relationship Development 35%

  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with both external and internal customers

Qualifications/Knowledge:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; High school diploma or GED and equivalent experience acceptable
  • 1-3 years experience in insurance or risk control
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel and running reports from different information systems

The Office Environment:

As part of the company, you can expect to work in a standard office setting where there is a positive team atmosphere. Our office is a collaborative space where cross-department projects are frequent. Occasional overtime may be required as business needs dictate.You will have exposure to moderate noise levels and on occasion outside weather conditions (walking between buildings, networking events).
