Job Description:

Sigmatech, Inc. is seeking a highly qualified and motivated Facilities, IT, Audio/Visual, and Logistics SME to support the office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Space Acquisition and Integration (SAF/SQ) in Arlington, VA. SAF/SQ has overall responsibility for Department of the Air Force (DAF) space systems acquisition and architectures oversight as well as integration of allied, civil, and commercial space capabilities into United States Space Force (USSF) architectures. These responsibilities are carried out in close collaboration with the Chief of Space Operations (CSO) and the USSF staff. SAF/SQ also serves as the Space Service Acquisition Executive (SAE) and oversees and directs the activities of the Space Rapid Capabilities Office (SpRCO), Space Systems Command (SSC), and the Space Development Agency (SDA). SAF/SQ’s guiding objectives are to (1) drive speed into space acquisitions, (2) make our space architecture more resilient, (3) integrate our space architecture with other war fighting domains, (4) drive program management discipline across our acquisitions, and (5) ensure that space and ground acquisitions are time phased to optimize operational availability. Achieving these objectives requires a workforce with broadly diverse and deep skills in system engineering, program management, architecture analysis, program planning and budgeting, and executive level communications and support.

Responsibilities shall include but are not limited to:
  • Resolve or facilitate resolution of end user questions and issues by providing best practice solutions for desktop, network, hardware, and software technical problems to SAF/SQ members across multiple networks (NIPR, SIPR, BICES, JWICS, NMIS, SPRG).
  • Coordinate with internal and external information technology service providers to perform problem analysis and achieve resolution of problems in a timely manner, and when appropriate and required escalate to appropriate personnel to assist in resolution.
  • Assist with SharePoint and site management for Public, AF Portal, IntelShare and DAF SharePoint Online sites.
  • Provide Site Management/Site Collection Administration by performing end- user requirements gathering and definition support for web-portal based systems.
  • Assist the Government in developing the intended functional requirements, writing, and managing the detail design, and reviewing and clarifying any questions or issues.
  • Perform preventative maintenance duties on technology related equipment and facilities to assure superior/trouble free functionality.
  • Assist the Government in defining solution approaches; improving site design and functionality; and creating custom workflows.
  • Provide assistance and support to maintain and execute SAF/SQ facility agreements, manage supplies and equipment, and maintain and repair facilities and equipment to ensure organizational compliance with required standards.
  • Provide the support needed to operate the SAF/SQ’s meeting and conference facilities at all SAF/SQ locations in the Pentagon, including set-up.
  • Provide Information Systems Security Officer duties for SAF/SQ, to include: software and hardware issues, account access, data transfers, scanning, and copying data to/from external media.
Experience and Skills:
Required experience and qualifications include but are not limited to:
  • Bachelor’s Degree plus 5-10 years of relevant experience in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, SharePoint Administration or Information Technology Services Support.
  • Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Previous Client Service Technician or Designated IT Representative experience.
  • SharePoint site access management and subsite creation experience or willingness to learn.
  • Background and training in the application of various knowledge management and collaborative tools including MS SharePoint and SharePoint Designer.
  • Detail-oriented and motivated self-starter able to work independently to complete objectives.
  • Excellent communication skills to work directly with military/government customer and contractors.
  • Able to use problem solving skills to identify and troubleshoot issues and manage complex projects, generate alternatives, if needed, and make recommendations.
Desired experience and qualifications include:
  • Power Automate experience.
  • Power Apps experience.
  • Microsoft SharePoint 2013, 2016, 2019 system experience.
  • Microsoft M365 SharePoint Online system experience.
  • OneDrive for Business online system experience.
