Sigma Healthcare team is currently looking for a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to work onsite at our client's healthcare facility in Salem.
Shift: 07:00 - 15:30
Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols and standards.
Perform imaging procedures utilizing a range of nuclear medicine equipment and techniques.
Analyze images for technical quality and interpret findings to assist physicians in diagnosis and treatment planning.
Maintain accurate patient records and communicate results to referring physicians.
Provide education and instructions to patients regarding procedures and safety guidelines.
Ensure proper handling and disposal of radioactive materials in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or related field.
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology.
Minimum of two years of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
Massachusetts state license in Computed Tomography.
Knowledge of radiation protection principles and techniques.
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
