The Contracts Specialist will be responsible for the management and administration of service-type contracts primarily with the Federal Government.
This includes cradle-to-grave contract management on all contract types, including Indefinite Delivery / Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts.
The contract Specialist’s task is to ensure consistent management of all contracts. This generally includes execution of the contract management process, as well as the development of specific standards for bidding and submission, contract negotiations, and document management.
The contract specialist’s role in the contract development process requires close collaboration with various departments, including project / program / portfolio, business development, human resource management, and finance and accounting.
In addition, the contract specialist will be responsible for setting up and maintaining projects in Sigma’s Deltek Costpoint system, tracking spending and contract deliverables, obtaining approval for any deviations from contract terms such as time outside the approved work schedule, expenses outside the FAR, and making funding requests to the client as necessary.
Experience working for a government contractor working on professional services contracts. Must maintain a very high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
