Sierra 2 Center for the Arts & Community is Hiring an Administrative Specialist Near Sacramento, CA

Provides a variety of administrative and clerical support. Performs a variety of skilled administrative and clerical duties directly related to membership activities. Assists with facility bookings and booking calendar maintenance; Provides customer service to renters and visitors. Prepares bank deposits and credit card reconciliations. Administrative duties may include researching/compiling information; coordinating and sending mass mailings; coordinating activities between areas of operations and/or outside services; Maintains data; generates and formats reports and other documents using a full range of computer software skills including spreadsheets, word processing, desktop publishing, database management, presentation software, etc. Clerical duties include such tasks as answering telephone, taking and delivering messages, setting up and maintaining files, sorting mail, preparing routine correspondence, assisting with invoicing and collections for tenants, renters, sponsors, Viewpoint advertisers, and donors.

Depending upon assignment, duties may include but are not limited to, the following:

  • Provide a variety of administrative and clerical support to Administrative and Office Manager and/or the Executive Director, Board of Directors, and/or other staff.
  • Perform a variety of skilled administrative and clerical duties directly related to membership activities, volunteer programs and event committees.
  • Assist with facility bookings, booking payments, and booking calendar maintenance;
  • Provide exceptional customer service to those contacted in the course of work—including other employees, offering facility tours, providing rental and facility information, and assistance with scheduling, booking, and event set ups.
  • Prepare bank deposits and credit card reconciliations.
  • Research/compile information
  • Prepare, coordinate, and send routine correspondence and mass mailings
  • Coordinate activities between areas of operations and/or outside services
  • Inventory, coordinate, and order supplies
  • Maintain data
  • Generate and format reports and other documents using a full range of computer software skills including spreadsheets, word processing, desktop publishing, database management, presentation software, etc.
  • Answer telephone and make outgoing calls
  • Take and deliver messages
  • Set up and maintain files, in hard copy and electronic format.
  • Sort mail
  • Assist with invoicing and collections for tenants, renters, sponsors, Viewpoint advertisers, and donors.
  • Identify, enforce, and adhere to health, safety, and other regulations.
  • Maintain confidentiality, especially related to sensitive organizational, customer, and other generally private information.
  • Proactively use commonly accepted practices that conserve energy and promote environmental conservation.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $43,680.00 - $45,760.00 per year

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
