Currently, we are in search of a Staff Accountant to join our team!

The Job

The Staff Accountant will prepare and maintain financial records to track the organization’s assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities.

The Responsibilities

• Perform general accounting and close activities including account reconciliation, allocations, and expense accruals.
• Reconciles cash disbursement accounts, payroll, customer accounts, and other financial accounts; manages accounts receivable collections.
• Verify and/or complete payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensures payments are charged to the appropriate accounts.
• Maintain fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and reconciliation.
• Maintain subsidiary accounts by allocating and posting intercompany transactions.
• Review, code, and verify transactions and journal entries.
• Research, track and solve accounting or documentation discrepancies.
• Prepare monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements.
• Assist with yearend financial audit
• Handle ad-hoc tasks and special projects, as needed.

The Qualifications

• BS in Accounting or 3-4 years of general accounting experience.
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
• Accuracy and high attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Nice to have

• QuickBooks experience.

The Compensation & Perks

• $50,000 - $55,000 a year – full time. Compensation is based on experience and education.
