SI Engineering, P.C. is Hiring a Structural Engineer Near New York, NY
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing plans, specifications, and estimates pertaining to transportation projects.
- Conduct analyses and develop design solutions for structural components.
- Perform detailed checks of the design work being performed by other team members.
- Participate in field site visits to gather information and measurements.
- Utilize CAD software (MicroStation and/or AutoCAD) to assist with contract drawing preparation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
- 3 years of structural analysis and design experience.
- Working knowledge of AASHTO, NYSDOT design and standards.
- Experience with City Agencies - NYCDOT, MTA, PANYNJ is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Engineer in Training (EIT).
- NYS Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred or ability to obtain one through reciprocity within (6) months.
Expected salary range is $78,000 - $98,800 annually. Actual compensation will be dependent on the individual’s qualifications, skills, experience, and physical work location.
