Shug's Soda Fountain & Ice Cream is a small family owned business in Seattle, WA. We are fast-paced, engaging and collaborative. We strive to bring the joy of our fantastic ice cream and dessert creations to everyone who walks through our doors.
Our shop is located in the Pike Place market and each day is full of lively cutomer interactions. Our team is collaborative, friendly, and works hard together to make the guest and our team experiences the best ones. As a Soda Jerk at Shug’s, you will prepare a variety of sweet classic and modern treats. Your skills in creating high quality treats should be matched by your hospitality in creating memorable experiences for all that come through our doors.
The ideal candidate will be friendly with excellent customer service skills and have a passion for sweet and delicious creations.

Requirements:
Adhering to health and safety standards is a requirement Food Handling Permit*
Class 12 MAST*
Proven experience in the hospitality industry or relevant roll
*If you do not have the required permits, you can acquire during the hiring process
Responsibilities:
As a Soda Jerk at Shug’s, you must have a firm handle and execution of the following:
Multitasking
Attention for detail and creativity
Organizational, self-motivated, problem solving and leadership skills Knowledge of sanitation principles, food preparation and baking techniques Patience and teamwork
Excellent professional communication skills and be an active listener Well-rounded attitude
Other responsibilities but not limited to:
Taking inventory and stocking
Work in conjunction with the Pastry Chef and Dishwasher/Busser to help the flow of guest service
Knowledge and execution of quality check and rotation of ingredients and materials
Maintain a lean and orderly station
Be able to work under pressure
Have excellent interpersonal skills
