Job Overview

Shriners Children's in Philadelphia has an opportunity for a full-time Patient Care Assistant on night shift in our Inpatient Unit. This position is 36 hours/week. Schedule is for 3 - 12 hour shifts of 7pm - 7:30 am with every third weekend and three holidays per year.

Responsibilities

The Patient Care Assistant assists in the delivery of patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The PCA provides direct patient care and performs routine tasks as assigned. Must consistently demonstrate caring and appropriate behavior when interacting with patients and families. Assists with wound and skin care, keeps unit and work areas stocked, and provides delegated nursing care activities as appropriate.

Qualifications

Required

High School Diploma / GED

Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA)

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

Preferred

One year of pediatric experience preferred
