Job Description:

Position Overview: As a Banquet Set-Up Attendant, you play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of events and banquets within our establishment. Your primary responsibility is to prepare, set up, and break down event spaces according to the specifications outlined by event planners, ensuring a seamless and visually appealing experience for guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Event Preparation:

    • Collaborate with event planners and banquet managers to understand the requirements and layout of each event.
    • Ensure timely setup of tables, chairs, linens, and other necessary equipment according to the event layout.
  • Decor Setup:

    • Arrange decorations, centerpieces, and other embellishments as per the event theme or client preferences.
    • Ensure that all decorative elements are properly placed and in pristine condition before guest arrival.
  • Table Setting:

    • Set tables with appropriate utensils, glassware, and tableware according to the event type and menu.
    • Ensure that each table is meticulously arranged and all settings are uniform throughout the event space.
  • Equipment Handling:

    • Safely handle and transport equipment such as audiovisual systems, podiums, and portable dance floors as needed for events.
    • Ensure all equipment is properly set up and in working condition before the event begins.
  • Venue Maintenance:

    • Maintain cleanliness and organization of event spaces throughout the duration of events.
    • Promptly address any spills, messes, or issues that may arise during events to ensure a pleasant experience for guests.
  • Breakdown and Cleanup:

    • Efficiently break down event spaces following the conclusion of events, ensuring timely removal of tables, chairs, and equipment.
    • Assist with cleaning and sanitizing event spaces, including sweeping, mopping, and wiping down surfaces.
  • Communication and Collaboration:

    • Communicate effectively with team members, event planners, and banquet staff to ensure seamless coordination throughout events.
    • Collaborate with colleagues to troubleshoot any challenges or issues that may arise during event setup or breakdown.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in banquet setup, event coordination, or hospitality preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
