SUMMARY

The Credit Representative is a detail oriented/hands on position focused on new and existing customer accounts. For new accounts, you will analyze customers' financial condition for credit worthiness utilizing multiple tools that include 3rd party data, credit reports, financial statement review and customer references. This also includes processing customer credit applications, follow up on open credit applications and other tasks related to the setup of new customer accounts. For existing customer accounts, you will analyze customers’ existing credit lines for potential changes to existing credit lines using tools noted above as well as internal history and projected business.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Process new customer credit applications, including sending customer credit trade references and bank references, running Dun and Bradstreet reporting, gathering web-based research including publicly available financial information and other searches, and ensuring completeness of information provided by internal and external parties.
• Evaluate and determine extension of credit for new customers using Dun and Bradstreet reporting, conducting customer credit trade and bank references and evaluating responses, evaluating publicly available financial information, and web-based research.
• Partner with our Sales and Customer Support teams on credit extension decisions.
• Elevate risky applications, requests for large credit lines, and requests for extended terms to management, as appropriate.
• Setup of new customer accounts including updating all required credit and billing settings.
• Review, resolve and release customer orders on system hold by working within guidelines and with internal parties to evaluate the risk or mitigate the issue for order releases.
• Interpret financial statements received from new and existing accounts.
• Maintain and monitor appropriateness of existing customer credit limits. Perform periodic review of existing customer credit limits to evaluate changes in credit worthiness.
• Communicate with internal and external customers in a clear, concise, and timely manner (written and verbal).
• Respond to inbound credit reference requests, as required.
